We did it!!! Misson Accomplished

We did it... we survived our wedding day. The ceremony performed by our good friend Ed Geraghty and the reception at the Kahala Mandarin Oriental went off without a hitch. Both Yum and I were very very relieved and ecstatic about how well everything went! Despite record rainfall throughout the island, our little spot was bright and sunny. Thanks to our family and friends for helping us make it a wonderful day...See the wedding pictures here...

Can you believe this was our view from our backyard? We landed at the Aloha Beach house. It met our expections and was even better than the pictures. The rental company left us a nice surprise welcome package in the kitchen of macademia nuts, chocolates and Hawaiian chips. I would highly recommend renting a house for your out of town guests. For the price and length of visit, this was the best deal rather than having everyone find their own hotel rooms for $200 or more a night. We were less than a 10 minute drive from downtown Honolulu.

We got the house for a week and it was right on the beach (you literally walk 10 steps and you hit sand). Our guests loved being able to watch the ocean throughout the day from the living room's floor to ceiling windows or sitting in the back yard and just relaxing on our own personal lawn at the beach.

Another plus was that we got to spend time with the family and friends who joined us from the mainland. That was the least we could do since they did fly out all that way for us. We cooked up some great meals and bbqs on the patio.

We got our marriage license at the State of Hawaii Dept. of Health. Edward T Geraghty was also in the database as our approved celebrant.
